1st ESV 2009 Newsletter
We are very proud to announce that the German Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Affairs, represented by the Federal Highway Research institute (BASt) will host the 21st International Conference on Enhanced Safety of Vehicles (ESV), one of the most important conferences regarding safety worldwide, from June 15-18, 2009 in Stuttgart. With this first newsletter we would like to give you some initial information:
The venue for the ESV 2009 will be the International Congress Center in Stuttgart (ICS). Stuttgart the regional capital of the federal state of Baden-Wuerttemberg in southwest Gemany. The ICS is located on the grounds of Stuttgart´s New Trade Fair, which opened in the fall of 2007. It is amoung Europe´s most modern congress and exhibition centers. Due to its convenient location directly at Stuttgart Airport it can be easily reached by car, train and airplane.

The ESV Conference 2009 will be sponsered and organized by Daimler AG.
Exclusive Partner is Robert Bosch GmbH. TRW Automotive GmbH and DEKRA AG will act as Main Sponsors. BMW Group and Takata-Petri AG as Sponsors and other highly reputable companies from the automotive industry will also take an active part.
The official airline partner is Deutsche Lufthansa AG, the German flag carrier, which is one of the world´s largest airlines and member of Star Alliance. Details regarding discounts will follow with the 2nd Announcement.
During the 21st ESV Conference in Stuttgart governments, the automotive industry, research organizations as well as universities will have splendid opportunity to present themselves on a 5000 m2 exhibition space in the ICS.

The 2nd Announcement will be available from July 2008, as well as from then on binding registration for the 21st ESV will be possible.
At the FISITA World Automotive Congress 2008 from September 14-19, 2008 in Munich (http://www.fisita2008.com) you will have tho occasion to visit the ESV 2009 information booth.
